he was a german-born theoretical physicist. He is best known for his theory of relativity and specifically mass-energy equivalence. he has received a Nobel Prize

He was a German born in March 14, 1879 who died in April 18, 1955

His first emplyment was as a technical assistant at the Swiss Patent Office. After four years in this post he became a professor in Zurich and then in Munich. In 1933 he renounced his German citizenship, moved to the US and became a Professor of Theoretical Physics at Princeton University
